Tom "Sagekoach" Sagehorn
Through The Franchise House, Inc. Tom focuses on franchise brokerage and consulting. He particularly enjoys working with new concepts and emerging franchisors.
Tom has served in various capacities from serving as Group President of a Fortune 500 multi-outlet company, growing it from 1 division to 70, @500 agents to 2,000+, and from 35 employees to 1,200+. He has provided key support for start-up and emerging franchisors including one that was listed in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500. He has also represented some of the most well known chains in America.
Over the years, Tom has held leadership positions with civic and charitable organizations. Tom has been a member of the Chicago chapter of World Presidents Organization and Young Presidents Organization (YPO). In the early 2000’s he served as Chairman of the Northwest Suburban Chicago American Cancer Society board. He has served as an adjunct professor at Christian Brothers University (Memphis, TN) for their Center for Ethical Leadership and as a member of the CBU Graduate School of Business Deans Advisory Council. He currently sits on the President’s Advisory Board at Judson University (Elgin, IL).
Two notable publications include “The Future of Franchising in America, published in Nation’s Restaurant News and “Retail Leases and Franchise Agreements: Negotiating and Drafting Issues and Resolution of Conflicting Provisions” published in the Practical Real Estate Lawyer, an American Bar Association Journal.
Tom is a graduate of Stanford University and SMU School of Law. He has served on the American Arbitration Association Commercial Panel.
